The Lord of the Horizon Beckons

In the Middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt, all work stops in an irrigation project at a new settlement when User finds a human skull sitting in a finely-carved stone bowl. The leader of the new settlement attempts to reassure his workers that this is a good omen, not a bad one, but User and the young scribe Nebka soon learn that sinister forces are moving behind the work done at the Mansion of the Lord of the Horizon.

“The Lord of the Horizon Beckons” appears in The Nameless Songs of Zadok Allen & Other Things That Should Not Be, published by JayHenge Publishing.
