Old Growth is a tale set during the American Revolution, told from an unfamiliar point of view: that of the Hessian mercenaries sent to fight against the colonial militias rising in New England. Following the siege of Aquidneck Island in the Battle of Rhode Island, a reconnaissance team came under attack by unidentified forces; a squad of line infantry was then sent in to investigate. They found more in the ancient forest than they had expected.
